ServeTheHome Article Suggestions Requested

7

Since July 2010 the ServeTheHome.com has more than doubled the amount of content and traffic. As a result, I have had to take building content plans further out than a week or two just to make sure I have things to review or topics to write about. My primary driver for creating this content is to help small businesses and home users to build their own storage platforms. As a result, I am making this appeal to the readers of this site to drop me notes for topics to discuss.

Currently I am filling the last few spots in February and starting to outline content for March, so there are still opportunities to influence the relatively near-term pipeline. One example of how this works was the article on how redundant power supplies work that originated from a request in this thread. I do have some practical constraints, mainly time and budget regarding what I can review, but I will make every effort I can to review or write about the topics that STH’s readers request.

Also, if you have a really interesting write-up that you would like to share, please use the contact form and send me a note. I am more than happy to publish any quality pieces that help the community.

Please leave a note on the ServeTheHome.com article suggestion forums and share your thoughts!

Thanks for your help and continued support,
Patrick

  1. I would go with a second LSI 9211-8i as they are cheaper than the SAS expanders in most instances. The big caveat here, of course, is that the OS needs to support the SAS2008 chip set.
