We had these in the studio and figured we would do a quick look at the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB Neo DDR5-6000 32GB 2x 16GB kit. The G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB Neo series is purpose-built for AMD’s AM5 platform, featuring AMD EXPO profiles that enable one-click overclocking on compatible motherboards. This specific kit we have in the lab is the DDR5-6000 variant with tight CL28 timings, which represents one of the sweet spots for Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series processors. The “Neo” designation indicates AMD EXPO optimization, as opposed to the Intel XMP-focused Trident Z5 RGB kits.
The packaging follows G.Skill’s established design language with a clear window showing the modules inside. The box prominently displays the key specifications: DDR5-6000, CL28-38-38-96, and 1.40V operating voltage for the EXPO profile. These are aggressive timings that should deliver strong performance in memory-sensitive workloads.
