This is a big weekend in sports. In Italy, the 2026 Winter Olympic Games are kicking off. In Santa Clara, California, the Super Bowl is being held in Levi’s Stadium. As a fun weekend piece, we thought we would highlight STH Olympic Games coverage and the secret data center inside Levi’s Stadium.
Inside the Levi’s Stadium Data Center
When you are watching the Super Bowl this year, here is a fun one. There is actually a data center in the stadium just about where the arrow is pointed in the video thumbnail.
Although we are guessing a decent amount of gear has changed since then, we took you on a tour Inside the Secret Data Center at the Heart of the San Francisco 49ers Levis Stadium.
I had actually asked for maybe a year or two to get inside the stadium and do a tour. Then it happened very quickly. Like, we got the OK and were on the plane only a few days later.
If you were to bet that there is a data center inside the stadium, we have the tour to prove that there is indeed a data center in Levi’s Stadium.
Behind the Scenes at the Olympic Games 2024
In the summer of 2024, just as my son was turning two months old, I headed to Paris, France to see How AI Platforms Are Being Used to Scout Future Athletes at the Olympics.

A fun story on those. Since we did horizontal video the process was very strict. We actually started the process in January 2024 and secured all of the international broadcast rights holder approvals to do the video only a few weeks before the opening ceremony. My original idea was to get a ticket to the opening ceremony and then grab some shots for our video. That was not allowed. In fact, I was not allowed to take video at any venue, we needed to have the official videographers and photographers for anything taken inside the venues.
Final Words
For golf fans, we will quickly note that this weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona, is the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC of Scottsdale, where there are over 100,000 people a day, making getting to the STH Studio challenging all week. Still, given just how big of a sporting weekend this is everywhere from Italy to Santa Clara (and Scottsdale if you consider golf a sport), we thought it is worth highlighting some of the fun tours we did related to this weekened’s festivities.
