TerraMaster F2-210 2-Bay NAS Performance

Our TerraMaster F2-210 can be set up to run in seven different configurations, RAID 0, 1, and JBOD or as a single disk. For our testing, we built the F2-210 with each different RAID type available for a typical two drive NAS. Again, we suggest users utilize RAID 1 for redundancy. Before we continue testing we allowed each RAID array to finish its Synchronization process.

Intel NAS Performance Toolkit

The Intel NAS Performance Toolkit (Intel NASPT) is a file system exerciser and analysis tool designed to enable performance comparisons between network-attached storage (NAS) devices.

In order to simplify our charts, we have colored the three TerraMaster 2-Bay NAS’s with green bars, the F2-210 is the dark green bar.

Here we see the results of our RAID 0 tests. In this set, the TerraMaster F2-210 performs close to the F2-220 in most cases.

In our RAID 1 tests, which we suspect most users will use, we see results a bit behind the TerraMaster F2-220.

In the JBOD tests, again we find the TerraMaster F2-210 comes close to F2-220 performance.

Now that we have looked at the basic RAID array performance results let us move on with encrypted storage tests.
