Windows Home Server Remote PC Backup

How easy is it to use one PC to initiate a manual backup of another PC using Windows Home Server? Extremely. This guide will illustrate.

Here’s the video.

For those that can’t see the video, or want a quick guide here are the steps:

  1. Using the Windows Home Server Console, login to your Windows Home Server
  2. Go to the Computers and Backups Menu
  3. Select the PC that you want to start the manual backup on
  4. Either select Backup Now from the menu, or right click the PC’s icon and click Backup Now
  5. Name the manual backup
  6. Click Backup Now

That’s all there is to it!
